Sonic 1-The Story-Chapter 2

Chapter 2 – MARBLE ZONE
     Sonic came out of the warp zone and landed on a skinny platform. He looked under his red shoes to see more Emerald colored grass, this time above purple marble.
     "Man, I haven't been here in forever." Sonic said. He observed the region he was now in. "Seems to have changed a lot since I took my last jog here. Not to mention that this place also has a bad badnik infestation."
     Sonic had a jab of pain. "Urg," He looked around to find a single golden ring. "Alright!" He walked over and absorbed the ring. "It isn't a cluster, but it will keep me in fine condition for now!"
     With that, he blasted off, tearing up some of the grass. He saw a pile of lava up ahead of him.
     "Whoa!" Before he could stop, he instinctively jumped over it. Luckily for him, another bee badnik came flying over the lava, he grabbed onto it, then swung and smashed it into a wall. He glanced at a part of the smashed robot that had print on it that read BUZZBOMBER.
     "Huh, these things have names? Whatever…" He ran off. Then, came a whole in the ground that lead to an underground cave. He hopped in and noticed it was a tiny bit darker in there. Luckily, there were torches on the wall.
     He stumbled upon a purple caterpillar-like badnik with spikes on it. He jumped over it, and ripped off a segment of the body. He kicked the segment over a lava pit and hit a BuzzBomber on the other end.
     Then, a metal weight fell from the ceiling. Sonic avoided it, then swung on it from the chain, much like he did with Robotnik's wrecking ball a few minutes ago. He jumped from that onto another and before he knew it, he was out of the caves. He zoomed up into the air and grabbed a hold of another BuzzBomber he flipped and threw it into a spring. The badnik bounced back and Sonic smashed right through it. He landed on the soft grass.
He thought he noticed something different. He looked up, to see a ton of BuzzBombers and CaterKillers around him.
     "… Oh, wanna have some fun?!" Sonic said, ready for combat. He swiftly jumped back and ripped the head of a CaterKiller off. He threw it on the ground, it bounced up. The head hit a BuzzBomber, then he grabbed it again, to roll it into the body of the CaterKiller.
     Sonic jumped onto a spring that launched him near another BuzzBomber. He grabbed onto it. The badnik flew straight into the wall, Sonic jumped off in time to have his feet land on the wall. He launched off of it. He spun around in the air, hitting a bunch more BuzzBombers.
     A CaterKiller raced after him, but he bounced behind it and kicked off its body segments one by one, until he got to the head which he kicked away as well.
After about 3 minutes, he had destroyed all of them.
     "Ah, you're a little better than I expected."
     Sonic looked behind him to find the source of the unfortunately familiar voice.
"You shouldn't underestimate me, Robotnik." Sonic answered with an attitude.
     "Then… get a load of this!" All of a sudden, the bottom of Robotnik's pod started shifting near the bottom. A cannon emerged from it. The pod got to an angle where the  cannon pointed directly at Sonic.  To his surprise, it shot a fireball right at him. With a bit of luck, he rolled away just in time.
     Sonic tried to jump up and punch the pod, but Robotnik was too high. He shot another fireball toward Sonic.
     Sonic dodged this one with ease. 'I gotta think of a way to beat him in this form!' He looked around to see a segment from the CaterKiller still there. He smirked, ran over and grabbed it. With it under his arm, he ran to the spring right before Robotnik was going to shoot another. His face was right in front of the cannon.
     "HAHA!!!" Robotnik yelled.
     "Haha, this!" Sonic yelled. He lodged the segment into the cannon. Robotnik tried to shoot a fire ball, but since the cannon was lodged, the bottom of his pod caught on fire.
     "AHHH!!! Rrrr, you better believe you won't win!" Robotnik zoomed off fast.
     Another portal opened up. Sonic smirked, then back-flipped into it.
